Algae's Dev Process Daily
Day 1
References, planning, brainstorm and finding inspiration. But the team found a game for the main inspiration. This game was G- darius.
Day 2
The team went for moodboard creations and planning
Day 3
The software called Magic Voxel is used to model the three types of enemies.
This Enemy types are based on fishes in the ocean.(Herring, puffer and Viper).
Day 4
Continued to make the enemy types
Day 5
The two of them is done and the third one is almost done, the next task will be is to animate the third type in maya
Day6
The animation is done. Receive feedback and tweak it then send it off to the unity project.
Started to create UI prototype
Day 7
Placement of the UI, the goal here is to have a very clean in game UI.
Created UI Art assets for the game
Day 8
Created some particle effects
The very same day started to refine my learnings about the HDRP on unity and see how this will look like in this game.
Day 10
More on prototype scenes and testing out the lighting.
More particle effects created like lazerbeam, bomb waves etc.
Day 11
The Ingame background was done so testing out now.
Day 12
Major problem was the background creates this intense Light which creates the game unplayable. I continue researching HDRP unity.
Day 13
Still no possible solution about the problem but I learnt a lot about HDRP uses and tricks. Might use this in further developments on games in the future.
Day 14
Finally got the solution to the problem, By giving the empty object a separate volume that controls its bloom then drop it to zero.
Day 15
The game was playable for what it was, we also added music for it, only it is two versions of it one for the entire game and for the Boss.
